COPRA RECEIVING GATE

Weigh first, talk later.

Trucks queue, tickets get wet, and the moisture reading somehow went up. Easy. Here are the quality guide, the receiving checklist and the loading notes for a mill’s buying desk, warehouse and QC.

TermsMoisture = how wet the copra is. FFA = free fatty acids, a sign the oil is starting to break down.

Still to settle with your QC team

Foreign matterResearch · Kora limit unconfirmed
Decide what counts as foreign matter, such as dust and shell pieces, and how the result is worked out.
Mould and defectsResearch · method and limits needed
Mould you can see is one thing, a toxin test is another. A visual check does not replace a lab result.
AflatoxinsResearch · specification unresolved
Ask what is measured, in which unit, by which method, and for which use. No numerical limit is set here.

Moisture and cuts: read the rule first

Check before the truck enters

One list per lot. Tick a step once it is written down, then print a copy for the lot number and results. All boxes ticked does not mean the cargo has passed.

Accepted, on hold or rejected: write down the decision, the reason and who made it. This list records. The decision stays with QC and the purchase terms.

A suggested workflow for the receiving mill, subject to your QC procedure. Ticks live in the open page only and are not sent to a server.
